Nike Air Max Hyperize “Kryptonate”

Nate Robinson from the NY Knicks may have become the NBA’s first three-time Sprite Slam Dunk champion when he defeated DeMar DeRozan in the final round of the Dunk Contest this past Saturday but it’ll be his 2009 Slam Dunk performance which will always have people talking. Nate took on Dwight Howard during the finals of the 2009 Slam Dunk Contest and along with some earth shattering dunks Dwight and Nate put on a great show with the whole “Kryptonate vs Superman” battle and Nate breaking out his Nike Foamposite Lite “Kryptonate”.
This year’s Sprite Slam Dunk Contest however was pretty boring in my opinion, and from what looks to be the opinion of 80% of those who tuned in for the event. People were more focused on Nate’s sneakers of the night, a NY Knicks version of a Hyperize. Although the sneakers were pretty dope and did catch my attention I would of much rather seen Nate take to the court in this Kryptonate version of a Hyperize and do something crazy only Kryptonate would do. DJ Greg Street posted this photo of the sneakers the other night on Twitter with the message “Come on nate, you suppose to have these on right now. You playing, come on son!“. From what you can see by the picture provided the sneakers feature an entirely Neon Green finish with a slight hit of Black on the Swoosh and outsole. Seen on the tongue tag is Nate’s “NR” shield logo.
At this time there are no available release details and the sneakers are believed to just be a PE model. If any other info surfaces we’ll keep you posted.
