Nike will be releasing the Zoom Kobe V (5) and the Hyperdunk together; the Hyperdunk will host a metallic silver upper accented by a white swoosh, white flywire, and red inner lining, while the ZK5 will yield a dark grey upper with black, white, and red accents.
The reference point between Kobe Bryant and the automakers is based on a commercial where the Lakers star leaped over an Aston Martin in 2008. The original commercial was for the Hyperdunk, so now the sneaker finally gets an Aston-Martin style makeover in silver, grey, and red. The tongue features a huge Kobe and Aston Martin logo, with a tonal lacelock that says “I Told You” on one foot and “I got this” on the other–a reference to what Kobe says in the commercial. The Zoom Kobe V is completely silver on the upper, even on the toecap portion. The swoosh is a lighter grey, while the signature red appears on the tongue and heel.
