Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA, if not the Greatest to ever play. His dedication and devotion to basketball is unparalleled. We are talking 17 years of hard work, and determination to be the best at it. Now that Kobe's had a successful surgery, and on the road to a healthy recovery, alot of people are asking "What does he do when he's chillin'?" I'll tell you. The Black Mamba is a student of Hip-Hop. Kobe listens to the hottest M.C.'s in the game, especially the good music thats coming out of his hometown of Philly. Meek Mill definitely gets a nod from Kobe. So does Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, and 50 Cent. Kobe studied the greats before being an M.C. himself. Alot of poeple might've forgot, Steve Stoute signed him to a Sony Records deal back in 1998. Kobe even spit some heat on a song wit Shaq and Sonja Blade on the "You Can't Stop The Reign" album. Kobe also loves Jordans as much as we do. He is a sneakerhead, and cherishes the "Bred" 11's, "Last Shot" XIV's, and "He Got Game" 13's just like we do. Yes, Kobe is built alot different, given his "superpowers" on the court.
From Rucker Park in Harlem, to the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Kobe has proven why he is the "Lord Of The Rings". As the Lakers get ready for the Playoffs, we give Kobe his props for carrying a team year after year, like its done effortlessly. We appreciate what you've accomplished, and what you did this season. You put the Lakers on your back and gave them new life. If thats not amazing, I don't know what is.
Maybe one day, we'll hear Kobe on the mic again. Maybe we won't. There is one thing for certain. Anything the Back Mamba does, whether it's on the court, leading his team, designing sneakers with Eric Avar for his Nike/Kobe signature line, or playing soccer, Kobe is the best at what he does.Kobe is a writer, a thinker. His approach is always calculated. A thought process like no other.
