It's official, as Carmelo Anthony brings the 2013 Scoring Title to New York City. This is Carmelo's first Scoring Title, and he surpassed Kevin Durant this season to gain top honors. Durant would've needed at least 70 points last night to even come close to Melo. This was a very tough season for the New York Knicks, as well.
With Stoudemire being injured, the Knicks stepped up with JR Smith, Jason Kidd, and 'Melo being the driving force for their offense. Anthony ended the regular season scoring almost 29 points per game. Coming in second behind Anthony was Kevin Durant, and third place belonging to the Black Mamba.
Carmelo worked hard on his perimeter game this season, as well as his points in the paint off second chance rebounds. His three-point shot is back, and that hard work he put into his game paid off, with the Knicks in a top position going into the Playoffs. The Knicks take on the Celtics in the 1st Round of action this Saturday, April 20th. Salute to 'Melo for an honor well deserved.  Cali "O" #TeamKickGame #TheCityNeverSleeps #NeitherDoWe
