FIRST UP: THE "STARS AND STRIPES" AIR MAX 95'S FROM THE LIMITED RE-RELEASE OF THE DOERNBECHER COLLECTION!!

Monday, June 24, 2013

The "Stars and Stripes" Air Max 95's were designed by Mike Armstrong, who was a 15 year old patient at Doernbecher Hospital in 2007. Armstrong received surgery that replaced a valve in his heart. He participated in the Doernbecher/Nike partnership, in which he found inspiration to design these kicks.
Mike drew passion from his brother, who was serving our country in Iraq, and from his heart surgery. Mike Armstrong is now 22, and he received his degree in Automotive Technology, and is following his dream of building fast cars. Mike's "Stars and Stripes" Air Max 95's will be re-released on July 6th, in line with our nation's patriotic holiday. They will be released on Nike.com, as well as NIKEtown stores across the country.
We are happy to know Mike is able to live his dreams, thanks in part to the Doernbecher Hospital.  Cali "O" #TeamKickGame #WeSupportTheCause
