Nike teams up with Tokyo's Joon Tahakashi for the third installment of his "Undercover x Gyakusou" project. The word "Gyakusou" means to flee, hence his collection, which includes limited edition running sneakers.
The Lunar Glide +5's and the Luna Spider LT's are among the pairs in Tahakashi's collection. Noticing the great number of runners and joggers there are in his city, and how the parks were designed so you ran in a clockwise direction. Tahakashi decided he was going to run in the opposite direction, which gave him the name "Gyakusou".
His ideas to lighten the weight on running sneakers, as well as the matching clothing, was brilliant. Nike, a brand known for partnering with designers that have exclusive vision, enjoyed great success on the first two outings with Tahakashi's projects. The exclusive kicks feature lighter weight materials, and maximum breathability for the ultimate runner. The "Undercover x Gyakusou" Project will hit Asian and European markets first in October and November, making its way to the U.S. in the first quarter of 2014. Cali "O" #TeamKickGame #Global
