GIVING KIDS HOPE: NIKE DESIGN DIRECTOR MARC DOLCE HELPS DOERNBECHER PATIENTS TELL THEIR STORIES THROUGH SNEAKERS!!

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

Saturday, September 28th, the auction for the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection was held at the Portland Art Museum, and Nike execs came out, along with the young designers of the 2013 Doernbecher Collection. Nike Design Director Marc Dolce was on hand to show his support for all the young designers, especially Elijah Diggins, who desinged the Doernbecher Air Foamposite One.
The auction helped to raise thousands of dollars that go towards research and assistance for the young designers and their treatment. Jordan Brand exec Jayson Mayden was also in the building, showing his support for the great work done by the kids themselves. Mayden assisted Daniel Pena, who designed the Air Jordan Doernbecher X, which is the first Jordan X to have a gel sole.
Dope kicks for a great cause, the Nike x Doernbecher partnership is a blessing for the kids that get to design sneakers alongside the greatest designers. Props to Brooklyn's own Marc Dolce, and Chi-Town's Jayson Mayden, and all the execs that took time out of their schedules to give back. The little things mean alot.
The entire 2013 Doernbecher Collection will become available starting November 9th.  Cali "O" #DoernbecherNikeCollection #GreatCause
