THROWBACK THURSDAY: ONE OF THE HARDEST MAGAZING COVERS EVER!!

Thursday, November 7, 2013

If you're a Hip-Hop head, you collect Hip-Hop magazines the same way you do kicks. This cover from the June, 1999 edition of XXL Magazine is one of the hardest covers they ever put out. I say this because they had three artists on the cusp of a breakout career in music, as well as films. 1999 was the Murder, Inc. and Roc-A-Fella era. Alot of Platinum hits came out of these camps.
The back cover was even more gripping, because you got to see they each had something in their hands. Those "weapons" helped each of them to break down the door. Hov was the only one out this trio who didn't get caught up in anything that could bring down his focus. Hov stands as the pillar of success, who's Blueprint has yet to be duplicated.
One of the best magazine covers ever. 14 1/2 years ago. Damn. Time really flies.  Cali "O" #TeamKickGame
