With Spike turning 57 today, and it being "Throwback Thursday, I decided to pay tribute to the "old" Spike, aka Mars Blackmon. Spike's alter-ego helped propel Air Jordan sneakers when it was in the beginning stages. Spike's celebrity at that time was through the roof, and it was a perfect pairing that brought the two together for a historic, and iconic, Air Jordan campaign.
