The year was 1999 everybody was talking about "Y2K" & what was gonna happen. That August Nike "always moving with the times" dropped the "Air Flightposite" the first colorway was the metallic gold & black. They were a new design for the "posites" & many of people weren't feeling them. The hefty $170 price tag was also turning off the "non-believers". I was already on my futuristic Foamposite $h!t, having copped the previous 1998 "Total Air Foamposite Max's" aka the "Tim Duncan's" in metallic silver. I heard all the "Space Boots" jokes on earth!! lol.

I was just going throguh some old things & found this flightpostie tee I used to rock with them (Classic). Nike re-released these in 2008.

Air Flightposite II LE Metallic Zinc Available March 6th

With the success of the Copper Foamposite, I guess it was only right that Nike would introduce a "Flightposite II" in a Metalic color scheme. We had a glimpse of these a few weeks back, and they definitely look nice.
For the uppers, Nike combines black nubuck and zinc colored foam. Both elements have been pretty popular lately and I expect these shoes to be popular also. You should be able to pick up a pair this Saturday, March 6 at your local Foot Locker or House of Hoops.

The classic Nike Flightposite II is back for 2010. Originally released back when Kevin Garnett was part of the Nike roster, the Flightposite II features a mix of Nike Foamposite and neoprene on the zip-up upper. Not much has been changed on the Flightposite Retro as it retains most of details that made it popular 10 years ago.

AIR FLIGHTPOSITE2 "GARNETT'S NAME REMOVED"

Nike has decided to bring back Kevin Garnett’s signature sneaker for its tenth anniversary next year. The Flightposite II, or better known as the Flightposite "KG which has been removed".will be releasing in two colorways next year. The first pair yields a simple black on black color. The Flightposite II includes a carbon fiber mid foot for support and stability as well as a zipper on the upper for aesthetic purposes.
