The Air Force 180's were the illest of it's kind. Hitting our local Aki spots in the hood way back in '92, They were the first of it's kind to hit $175 bills back then. With speckled-paint fading trim along the air-bubble and the sole, The AF 180 was a hi-top at it's finest. What made this sneaker so ill was the "pump action". There were two ways to allow air into the kicks for support. Dave Robinson was doin' it for 1992.
Because theses joints embodied alot of technology, and with Jordans cornering the market, Nike put a hold on production. There hasn't been any official word on a retro release (Charles Barkley had 1 too) but it would be nice to grab a pair of 180's when Nike was right in the middle of designing the Air Technology for many of the kicks we dig today....Melo
