Before Clae's, Supra's, Lanvin's and other high end sneakers there was Travel Fox. Back in the mid 80's to early 90's (along with Bally's and Clarks), Travel Fox was the ultimate alternative to your average old kicks combining sneakers, shoes and boots in one trendy shoe. More of a NY thing mainly in Brooklyn & The Bronx and especially amongst West Indians, the colorful and comfortable shoe was seen on everyone young & old, guys and girls, gangsters & squares and worn from the most casual of settings to the dressiest affairs and seen on rappers from Heavy D, MC Lyte, Just Ice (no relation) and Special Ed. Now pardon a nigga as I reminisce seeing my oldest cousin "STYME" throwing on a royal blue pair of Fox's on with a "GUESS JEAN SUIT!!". Ahh, those were the days ..
