Hip-Hop producer and sneaker afficionado Swizz Beatz is putting our cutural influence on sneaker giant Reebok (who was purchased by Adidas back in 2005.) Swizzy has single-handedly pumped life back into legendary kicks like the Shawn Kemps, the Dominique Wilkins, Brooklyn artist extraordinare Jean Michel Basquiat, and now, Hall of Famer Shaq Diesel! Back in the early 90's, Shaq was rappin' and pullin' rebounds at the same damn time. Reebok realized how big his character was, and signed him to a huge deal back then. That deal gave us jewels like the Shaq Attaq's, and the Shaqnosis.
Shaq rocked the Shaqnosis joints in the All-Star Game, on the Olympic team, and during the Playoff run with Orlando. It was definitely one of his biggest shoe releases. The "hypnotic flow" of the black and white stripes on the side panels put you in a "trance", which also gave these kicks its own identity.
While the Shaqnosis is scheduled for a release on April 19th, there is buzz that we could see the Shaq Attaq joints by early summer. We've seen many celebs with their pairs early, thanks to Swizzy. Shaq is back. In a BIG way! Cali "O" #TeamKickGame
