Grant Hill's first few years in the NBA spawned many awards for the young gunner. In 1994, he shared the Rookie of The Year Award with Jason Kidd. It was the '95-'96 season where a young Hill began to spread his wings, leading the NBA in triple-doubles, running the offense for the Detroit Pistons, and damn near tying Michael Jordan in ballot votes for the NBA All-Star Game. Grant also locked down deals with Sprite, and a then-Italian luxury brand named Fila that wanted to give him his own kicks.
Fila and Grant Hill had a great relationship, and from that came one of the hottest sneakers on the street and the court, the Grant Hil "96's". Everyone from Nas, and Tupac, were seen rockin' these and showin' Grant alotta love. The streets were calling for a retro, and Fila (now owned by Fila Korea) gave the "Greenlight" for the Grant Hill's to drop. On April 1st, you'll be able to cop a nice piece of history.
