2013 proved to be a crazy season in the NBA. The fact that two New York teams made it in the Playoffs is unbelievable. The Brooklyn Nets made it to the Playoffs in their inaugural season, which says alot about their franchise. Brooklyn worked hard this season, but fell short in Game 7 against the Bulls. Salute to the Nets, they played hard, and they did it for Brooklyn. The Knicks have emerged from a team full of injuries, to a team working like a machine.
Without the presence of Amar'e Stoudemire, who was supposed to be a big part of the dynamics, Carmelo, J.R. Smith, and Raymond Felton have proven to be a force at the top of the key, with Tyson Chandler and Kenyon Martin holdin' it down in the paint. Although Melo is playing with a bad shoulder, he still gave the Knicks a much needed boost in the last game against the Celtics.
Today, the 2nd Round begins, with the Knicks taking on the Pacers. Indiana has a young roster, and they refuse to be outdone. It's going to be a battle on the court, as the Pacers come to the Empire State to take on Carmelo and the Knicks machine. We'll see what happens. Tip-Off is 6:30pmET/3:30pmPT.
