RESPECT. It's the single, most powerful word when describing an amazing athlete. His career started in the Bronx, and after 19 seasons, will end in the Bronx. Derek Jeter's legacy is not only cemented in the Yankees' history books, but he is also the only athlete that has been with Jordan Brand the longest, since signing in 1999.
Now, let's talk numbers. 5-Time World Series Champion, World Series MVP, 13-Time All-Star, Babe Ruth Award, 3,000 Hitters Club, Captain of the Bronx Bombers for the past 11 years, and surpassed Lou Gherig's record for the most hits at Yankee Stadium.
A solid, and consistent athlete, Derek Jeter was a posterboy for Jordan Brand. Although he never had any kicks that really captured our attention, he did have a number of PE's that did. When he wore the Air Jordan XIV's at a Yankee home game.

We salute Jeter, for bringing excitement and 5 championships to my borough, and my city! I always referred to him as the "Kobe of Baseball", the way he honed in on his skills from his rookie season, and taking his team to the Championship.
