Adidas Originals Etrusco "Hemp"

Despite your initial thoughts based on the Etrusco’s design, this sneaker represents an all-new effort from adidas Originals. Deriving its name from the name of the official 1990 FIFA World Cup Match Ball and boot, the Etrusco does feature a relatively soccer-minded upper. Offset by a relatively chunky tooling, the sneaker still maintains a good bit of balance. This first release is set off by a hemp upper with green suede details. Available now at Crooked Tongues.

As advertised, the first 50 people through the door received tickets for his free show in New York’s Irving Plaza tonight; the rest were there for a signature, a picture with G.O.O.D. Music’s next up, and – most importantly — an opportunity to be in the presence of a young man whose music they cherish.

Unfortunately, a lot of fans that made the trip didn’t have the chance to meet the 23-year-old Detroit lyricist. Instead, they settled for a glance from down the street, behind police barricades. Before leaving he listens intently to a young man who wants nothing more than to spit a verse for him in a crowded store. His attention is divided between fans, friends, media and representation — sometimes simultaneously — never looking overwhelmed. No moment is too small.
