We first caught wind of the Air Jordan 6 "Detroit Pistons" last year and now we finally can report a release date for the sneakers, which is set to drop on the 17th of April. The Bulls vs. Pistons rivalry during the late 80's and early 90's was in part fueled by the physical play employed by Pistons in defending against Michael Jordan, known as the Jordan Rules. The rivalry was intense and eventually lead to the Bulls taking down the Pistons on their way to winning the NBA championship in 1991 while wearing the Air Jordan VI. Given the importance of the Pistons in Michael Jordan's career, Jordan Brand has hooked up the Air Jordan 6 in a Detroit Pistons colorway.
