FLASHBACK: KOBE AND JORDAN ALL-STAR GAME 2002!!

It was February 9th, 2002. All-Star Weekend in Philly. Before the game, Jordan, who was wearing the White low-top 9's, and Kobe, wearing his Kobe Two "All-Star" edition (or "USA" edition) having a casual basketball conversation with Antoine Walker in the back. From the look on Antione's face, maybe Kobe told Jordan he was taking the MVP. Jordan has a look on his face like, "we'll see."
We all know the outcome. Kobe took the MVP in his hometown, to utter amazement.

Today, we celebrate the legendary Michael Jordan, who turned 49 today! We thank Jordan, not only for so many memorable moments in Basketball, but the countless classic sneakers that have been released with his name on it! What are your favorite Jordans?
I know for my bro Mello, his favorite is the 7's(he has the WHOLE collection!!) Today, in honor of Jordan, Mello is rockin' the Cardinal 7's! Nice. As for me, my favorite Jordan has to be the 13's! The OG Black/White/Red is my favorite. Today, I'm rockin' the Concord 11's to salute the Legend!

We all know about Drake's love for Jordans. We also know he has the "inside connect" when it comes to gettin' them early! Toronto's Own decided to mash thru Los Angeles (75 degrees) this past week wearing the Retro Air Jordan 4's in the Black/Cement color scheme.
Nike has plans to drop the White Cement 4's in early 2012. After seeing Drake in the Black version early, we can expect to see these around mid-Spring of next year. #UAlreadyKnow the Cements is the only way we know how to mash down the block!! #TeamKickGame #InDaStreets #Ready4Whatever

On May 7th, 1995, Jordan(wearing the "4-5") debuted the Concord 11's in the 1st Round playoff game vs. Orlando Magic. Fast forward 16 years. Michael still rockin' the kicks that cemented a sneaker legacy like no other.

Hova held us down for 8 straight summers. Jordan held us down for 8 straight Christmases!
This is the sneaker that told us Jordan walks "on Air".
For 8 Straight holidays, dating back to 2004, Jordan has held the title for Christmas release dates. December 22nd thru the 24th belongs to "His Airness". Before we bring you KickGame DVD's Top Kicks for 2011, I wanted to share the impact of the Concord 11's.

Tinker Hatfield's genius spoke to us. Sneaker designs like this hadn't been seen before this in 1995. The detail of the shoe is so crisp, there's not a stitch out of place. The gel soles gave the shoe a n new definition.

So pretty much every sneaker store I go into still has a full size run of the Black/Red/Metallic Silver Air Jordan V's that dropped last week. This really puzzles me, because these kicks are one of the most official Sneakers (Not Jordan's, SNEAKERS) ever!.

I have seen the sneaker game change so much over the past two decades. "I remember when sneakers used to sell because they were HOT!", Not because it's a (EASILY FORGOTTEN) "BIN23" or a "QUAI54" & the brand has decided to release "23 pairs".

What a lot of you cats who use the word "HEAT" need to learn is the difference between "Limited" & "Exclusive". Just because your kicks are Limited doesn't make them Exclusive.
