With excitement and anticipation building up for this years Puerto Rican Day Parade, Nike will help usher in the festivities with the 2013 "Puerto Rican Day Parade" AF1's. Nike did a few limited editions for the Parade in prior years, but the 2013 editions are the best. The Blue Suede that adorns the sides of the top toe panel with the Red "Kaws" stitch gives it "Parade Flare" status. The tumble leather on the Swoosh is outlined in Red and Blue, giving it a real nice effect. For me, it is the Laser-print on the side panels of these kicks that separate them from the rest. Using the island of Puerto Rico as a backdrop, with the ocean sun, and beaches providing a nice silhouette under the Puerto Rican flag.
There are hidden pictures of ancient Spanish warriors on the sneakers as well, paying tribute to the forefathers of the great island. Underneath the clear Gel sole, the artwork continues, giving those who don't know much about Puerto Rico's history, a glimpse into their heritage and rich culture.
