This is great time for Jay-Z, who has an outline on success. Last Night, the "Brooklyn Mayor" celebrated the 10 year anniversary of his 40/40 Club. The star-studded event, which included Knicks Forward A'mare Stoudemire, Yankees Pitcher C.C. Sabathia, Superbowl Champ from the New York Giants Victor Cruz, Fabolous and Emily, and New England Patriots Owner, Robert Kraft.
Hov first opened the 40/40 on June 18th, 2003. Hov then extended the 40/40 brand with the grand opening of the club in Atlantic City in 2005. That followed another grand opening in Las Vegas at the Palazzo Hotel in 2007. In 2011, Hov summoned designer Jeffrey Beers to do a remodel on the Flagship club in Manhattan. The $10 Million dollar remodel added new, plush amenities to the club and Beers gave it a rich, Top-Shelf finishing touch.
On September 27th, 2012, the 40/40 Club was added to the Barclays Center, in which Jay is part owner of the Brooklyn Nets. Being able to keep these clubs open is no small feat, and have them open for 10 years is a true milestone in itself. Jay-Z gives his patrons a piece of him when you enter the club, filled with sports memorabilia, flat screens playing different sports, and his favorite champagne and signature liquor, D'usse, flowing into the glasses.
