BREAKING NEWS: TONY SOPRANO DEAD, AT AGE 51

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

James Gandolfini, better known around the world for his role in the timeless show, "The Sopranos", has died at the age of 51. It was the role of mafia Boss Tony Soprano that opened so many doors for the beloved icon. The Sopranos ran from 1999 until 2007, when the show left everyone hanging on to see what was going to happen next. His character depicted what our perception was of a true mafia Boss.
Gandolfini was in Sicily, Italy for a film festival when he suffered a massive heart attack. He was only 51 years old. We are blessed to have witnessed such talent, in movies like "True Romance", which was the first movie I saw him playing the role of a gangster hitman. Most recently, I saw him in a movie called, "Killing Them Softly", which he played a hitman for Brad Pitt. The movie was alright, but Gondolfini's role made you remember him and he made the movie better. Same for "Zero Dark Thirty", where he played the head of the C.I.A. The movie was more like a long documentary, but his parts were amazing.
On behalf of the KickGame DVD Family, we send our condolences to the Gandolfini family and friends. We thank Tony Soprano for coming into our livingrooms every week for 8 years straight, making us feel like we were a "part of the Family".  Cali "O" #TeamKickGame #Salute #JamesGandolfini
