What should've been the "Yeezus" album cover
Kanye and Hov during the "Watch The Throne" world tour
The New York Times was granted a rare interview by Kanye West, who is preparing to release his 6th solo album on June 18th, next Tuesday. The interview took place in Malibu, at the studio of Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin. Kanye opens up, not only about the new album, but life, producing, his artistry, no regrets, his future, and fatherhood.
Yeezy spoke on the new album, "Yeezus", and working with a legend like Rick Rubin. Rubin was responsible for Jay-Z's "99 Problems" off the Black Album. Kanye spoke on the recording process for this album, which started in his loft in Paris, and gaining inspiration from art galleries, architecture, and exquisite expos, which Paris is known for. But it was Rick Rubin that provided the depth for his new album. Rubin is known for bringing a certain "Xen" to any musician he works with, which is why he is still one of the most sought after producers of our time.
