When you talk about innovation, creativity, and inspiration, Nike is a big part, if not the majority, of that conversation. The team of SB designers draw inspiration from different spaces to create a "one of a kind". They accomplished that with the "Ron Burgundy/Anchorman" SB's that dropped in late summer of 2009.
These kicks were a direct salute to Will Ferrell's character from the hit movie, transforming his signature suit into a nice pair of SB's. The Burgundy suede is an ode to Ron Burgundy's suit, while the plaid tongue and the outline at the top of the back panel is taken directly from his tie. The white midsole compliments the white top toebox panel. The gold Swoosh and brown lining on the inside of the shoe represents the wardrobe of Ferrell's 2004 character.
Making a comeback in the Fall of 2013, will we see a new version of the Anchorman SB's? Possibly in the Blue colorway (which is the other suit he wore)? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, These classics are still loved, even in San Diego!  Cali "O" #TeamKickGame #RonBurgundy #AnchormanSBs
