Do you remember these joint's?. The Nike Air Trainer Max 96's are true high tops. Although they might look quite bulky at first glance. On foot they have a very sleek looking toe box similar to the "Air Max 95's". They remind me of a high top Air Max 95.
This OG colorway of the Air Trainer Max 96 can be scooped up now at select Nike retailers including West NYC.
