Nike officially unveiled its heralded "Black History Month" collection, and there is a few jewels among them!! The number one pick of this collection for me, is the AF1. This year, they did it a little different. The clean, brown/black nubuck suede combo is nice, and the stitching around the Swoosh gives it a fresh look.The "Tribe Called Quest" colorway on the lace tips is a nice touch.

KOBE VII "BLACK HISTORY MONTH"!!

Settin' off Black History Month the right way, the much anticipated Kobe VII's "BHM" joints will be droppin' on Feb. 11th. This is the first shot we've seen, which gives us alittle detail into what we can expect. The African-inspired print, using the native red,black, and green colorway can be seen on the front top panel of the sneaker. Tribal-infused colors were used on the inside throughout. It looks like a gel sole completes this sneaker. Nike and Kobe's lead designer, Eric Avar, have been doing it big for the past few years with "BHM" releases.

Nike Zoom Kobe VII Big Bang

The newest Kobe VII colorway has just surfaced, and they are going to have sneakerheads going Bananas! But, no matter where the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ’Big Bang’ pops up, it’s bound to create a world of interest orbiting your feet, this intergalactic colorway applying a pattern similar to that found on the ‘Big Bang’ LeBron 9′s sockliner and the ‘Galaxy’ Air Foamposite One. KOBE VII "YEAR OF THE DRAGON" RELEASE!!

It's coming!! The official Kobe VII "Year of The Dragon" is being released right before All-Star Weekend! The colorway represents the influence of Kung-Fu, which Kobe loves. This is why we've seen it on Kobe's previous releases. Unlike the Kobe VI "China" edition, which used the Bullet Silver/Purple Swoosh to give it an element that represented the region correctly.

In the VII's, we see the yellow Dragon infused in a red background to bring out what the shoe stands for. Our sources up in Portland tell us Kobe may even WEAR these for the All-Star Weekend. It remains to be seen, but I can definitely tell you this is one for the collection! Cali "O"

The Black Mamba's newest sig is heading to NIKEiD. The Kobe VII System will be fully customizable this year, featuring multiple ways to build the shoe. Options will include choices for fit, cushioning and colors. A sneak preview of the Kobe VII System iD is available now on the NIKEiD Facebook Page. The program, which allows full customization of the Kobe VII Supreme and Kobe VII, will officially launch on December 22nd for respective prices of $185 and $145.

We've seen the Kobe 7 in several flavors but today we see it transform into cheetah mode! Part of the forthcoming Kobe Predator Pack, we're not sure what the violet is all about, but it sure makes this cheetah more compatible with a Lakers jersey. Rumor has it this one will be a Christmas Day drop.

BREAKING NEWS: KOBE VII "CHRISTMAS" SUPREME!!

Fresh off the press, we get a sample of what could possibly be the Kobe VII "Christmas Day" Supreme! Last year, we saw Kobe in the all green "Grinch" joints, which flew off the shelves of all retailers. This year, from the sample we see above, the Kobe "Christmas" took on a red shoe, which Kobe normally saves for the All-Star Game. This colorway also reminds us of the LeBron "Christmas" shoe he wore last year.

KOBE IS BACK WITH THE VII SUPREME!!

There was a time in "sneakerhead history" When the only kicks that really counted came from the Jordan Collection. After 13 years, 9 different styles of sneakers with two different companies, Kobe (aka "Lord of the Rings") brings you his 10th installment with the Kobe VII Supreme. These sneakers are supreme for many reasons, but here goes a few.
The inner removable sock unveils a predatorial leopard skin-like pattern. The bottom insole is made of memory foam, which we've seen in a few of Kobe's past releases.
The outside of the sneaker has a horizontal "3-D Touch" pattern, giving the illusion of Kobe's speed while on the court. Finally, the back of the shoe, which gives the premise "eyes in back of you".

The "BLACK MAMBA" aka "LORD OF THE RINGS" came through Nike Headquarters rockin' his own "Signature 7's"!! Kobe's new sneaker reminds us of Tinker Hatfield's classic Hi-Top Huarache, which is also making a comeback in 2012. The inner (removable) booty with Kobe's signature quotes "Play Fast/Play Strong" embedded inside.
