As you all know, or should know by now Jordan Brand released the Silver Anniversary Edition of the Air Jordan 1 over the weekend. Leading up to the release the briefcase in which the sneakers come in was all the rage. From the blogs, to the forums, everybody was pretty excited about the silver briefcase which instantly turned the shoes into a collectors item before they even released.
The fun didn’t stop there though. Deciding to take things a step further with their celebrations Jordan Brand put together this nice little capsule collection featuring a weekender bag and a replica University of North Carolina jersey. The weekender bag was produced in collaboration with luxury brand Cole Haan and features a rich pebbled leather exterior, a padded and lined interior and silver hardware accents. The Tar Heels jersey sports a white base, silver embroidered lettering and tags, a chrome “Jumpman” on the left chest, a full elephant print interior and special neck taping that displays 1 through 25 in roman numerals. Each jersey is also labeled with a # out of 500, making each one a collectible commodity among Jordan collectors.

While numerous distributors received the Air Jordan 1 “Silver Anniversary” sneakers there were only a handful of shops which were lucky enough to distribute the Cole Haan Weekender Bag and the UNC Jersey.
