THE ILLEST JORDAN ARTWORK!!

It's one thing to paint a picture, and for people to relate to the artistic vision. On the other hand, we have a modern day Picasso in the artist known as Haa-BB, whose detail is so rich you feel as if you're right there!
Haa-BB didn't just capture "His Airness" throughout the years of Jordan's evolution, he also captured the kicks he wore during that era!! From a rookie wearing the 1's, to the "Space Jam" era, the 8's "Playoffs", and the "Briefcase" 17's.

WE GOIN' IN!! A DETAILED LOOK AT THE YEEZY 2'S!!

"Peep the flyness, ya HIGHNESS"

By the time our KickGame DVD readers see this, we will be exactly 60 days away from one of the biggest releases in 2012. Since we covered all the bases a few days ago, we decided to take an exclusive look into the Yeezy 2.

What stands out the most, besides the "Glow" soles, is the definition of the sneaker itself. Talking to a few insiders at Nike Headquarters in Portland, I see the influence of this Yeezy came from GodZilla. The "scales" that protrude from the back panel and the lizard/reptilian skin that adorn the side back panels of the shoe remind us of the giant fire-breathing dragon. The Nike Swoosh is in "3-D", elevating out of the lizard skin.

The front top panel is made of Nike's Air material for breathability. with a suede rim to complete the top panel makes for a top-shelf sneaker. Yeezy's signature emblem is emblazened on the tongue. From what we've been told, the inner sole is a combination of memory foam, and Nike Air for maximum comfort. The price tag on these will run about $235. Well worth it! Cali "O"

SPIKE LEE AND JORDAN BRAND CREATE SPI'ZIKES FOR OUR PRESIDENT!!

I don't know if it gets bigger than this! Legendary movie director, and Brooklyn's own Spike Lee, who has been with Jordan almost 25 years, has a special edition Spi'Zike designed for President Obama and the First Lady, Michelle.
These special edition joints come in an intimate wooden box, with the Presidential Seal engraved. Jordan's number 23 is etched in underneath.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!! A LOOK BACK AT KOBE'S HYPERDUNKS!!

Initially, Kobe Bryant was not supposed to be the face of Eric Avar's offering of the HyperDunk. Kobe already had his own line of Kicks, and Avar was designing a basketball shoe with lighter synthetic material to take the weight off the feet of basketball players.
However, being the "mad scientist" that Avar is, he brought the idea to Kobe, and they ran with it!! Kobe transformed the game, and the culture, with the HyperDunk sneaker. It became part of Kobe's collection, and the "Black Mamba" had 8 colorways of the now infamous shoe.
What took the shoes to a new level was the commercial (above) where Kobe is jumping over an Aston Martin! Avar even created a "Marty McFly" HyperDunk, and Kobe was frontman for the "Back To TheFuture" release. In 2010, Nike did a special Aston Martin Pack release at Staples Center in Los Angeles to honor Kobe and the success he brought to the HyperDunk.
Kobe is still the best in the league. His 8th installment with Nike is going to further solidify his stance in the game, and our sneaker culture. - Cali "O"

Over a decade now, Serena Williams has dominated the sport of tennis. With numerous Championships under her belt, Serena is a positive catalyst for women around the world. Especially women of color.
This year, Serena, along with Nike, will release the much heralded "Black History Month" Collection to inspire and empower our women of color. "N!GG@S IN PARIS" AIN'T JUST A SONG!!

"Jesus was a carpenter/ Yeezy lay beats." Thats exactly what Ye was doing out in Paris recently. Getting inspiration for new beats, shopping on Savile Row, and rocking a crispy pair of his signature Yeezy 2's. March 23rd is right around the corner, and the hype around these are just as big as the Concord 11 release!

KOBE VII "YEAR OF THE DRAGON" RELEASE!!

It's coming!! The official Kobe VII "Year of The Dragon" is being released right before All-Star Weekend! The colorway represents the influence of Kung-Fu, which Kobe loves. This is why we've seen it on Kobe's previous releases. Unlike the Kobe VI "China" edition, which used the Bullet Silver/Purple Swoosh to give it an element that represented the region correctly.

In the VII's, we see the yellow Dragon infused in a red background to bring out what the shoe stands for. Our sources up in Portland tell us Kobe may even WEAR these for the All-Star Weekend. It remains to be seen, but I can definitely tell you this is one for the collection! Cali "O"

Nike has officially put Penny Hardaway into the "Sneaker Hall of Fame" with the latest upcoming release of the Foamposite One. The Varsity Red/Black joints are being released on February 4th, and are a nod to the rare colors such as the Copper Foams.

HOVA ROCKIN THE YEEZY 2'S!!

Young Hov, as we still call him, arrived at his favorite college team's game, wearing the Yeezy 2's!! The game between Kentucky and Louisville might have been one for the records, but sneaker heads were paying close attention to Hov's kicks.

The first installment of the Yeezy 2's remind us of the the OG Yeezy colorway. Up close, however, you notice the intricate detail of the 2's. The reptilian-skin, which graces the entire back panel, with a 3-D Nike symbol brings the shoe to life. The front panel is made of special material to give the sneaker breathability. The glow-in-the-dark sole completes the shoe, with Kanye's signature logo rounding out the tongue.

"WEARIN' THE 4-FIVE, IT AIN'T TO PLAY GAMES WIT YOU!!"

On May 7th, 1995, Jordan(wearing the "4-5") debuted the Concord 11's in the 1st Round playoff game vs. Orlando Magic. Fast forward 16 years. Michael still rockin' the kicks that cemented a sneaker legacy like no other.

Hova held us down for 8 straight summers. Jordan held us down for 8 straight Christmases!
This is the sneaker that told us Jordan walks "on Air".
For 8 Straight holidays, dating back to 2004, Jordan has held the title for Christmas release dates. December 22nd thru the 24th belongs to "His Airness". Before we bring you KickGame DVD's Top Kicks for 2011, I wanted to share the impact of the Concord 11's.

Tinker Hatfield's genius spoke to us. Sneaker designs like this hadn't been seen before this in 1995. The detail of the shoe is so crisp, there's not a stitch out of place. The gel soles gave the shoe a n new definition.

As we close out another year, we think back on the grind that got us to where we are today. We reflect on our success, as well as our failures. As we pass each floor on the elevator ride to the top, we never forget to keep our feet on the street.
