As we close out another year, we think back on the grind that got us to where we are today. We reflect on our success, as well as our failures. As we pass each floor on the elevator ride to the top, we never forget to keep our feet on the street.

There is no better way to look upon success than Brooklyn's own. He never forgot. Neither did we. Tilt back a glass of that "Good". Success never tasted sweeter! Thank you for being a part of the #KickGameFamily. The journey is just beginning.

10 YEARS LATER: NAS - "STILLMATIC" x FILA!

Can you believe 10 years have passed since Nas released the classic "Stillmatic" album! The same album that released one of Hip-Hop's most memorable battle song, "Ether." The battle between Hova and Nas will go down as one of the best in our culture.

Nas always went against the grain. With his music, and his fashion, the Queensbridge legend was ahead of his time. At one point, the self-proclaimed "Nike head" switched over to Fila, a well-known Italian sneaker that became popular among hustlers in the 80's. Nas inked a deal with the European sneaker company back in 2007, and Fila endorsed Nas' campaign during the "Nigger/Untitled" album run.

December 18th marks 10 years, and when I look at what Nas has done and the musical legacy he's given to our culture, he is "STILLmatic".

Nasir Jones was just 20 years old when his debut album, Illmatic, dropped in 1994. It has since been hailed as a rap classic by music critics and fans alike, and is widely credited as helping to jumpstart an East Coast hip hop renaissance.
In the latest installment of the 2DopeBoyz/Restless Films’ “VS” series, Common pays tribute to the Queens native with an a capella rendition of the Illmatic cut “Life’s a Bitch.” Directed by Court Dunn, the clip is stripped down and raw, with no window dressings or second takes — just an MC and his singular voice. Happy birthday to Queensbridge NY rap hero Nas who celebrates his 38th born day today. The hip-hop legend is currently in the midst of a headlining stint on the 2011 "Rock The Bells" tour and Nas is preparing to release a new memoir in 2012 and sharing his life experiences in the tell-all book. The book, titled It Ain’t Hard To Tell will be co-written by journalist Touré and feature stories on Nas’ beef with Jay-Z and Bill O’Reilly, his past intimate relationshisp with Carmen Bryan and Kelis, and his mother’s battle with cancer.

Nas’ new album, Life Is Good, is set to come later this year.
