"I'm Sorry JR - I've Already Ruined Ya...."

People often ask me why do I spend so much money on my kids. Well in a nut shell, "I spend $200 & better on my kicks, $180 & better on my jeans & so on". Aside from my personal spending habits I grew up always having nice things & so did there mom. So when we give him what we had plus what we didn't have...Sheesh. However I will say that he has to earn most of the things he gets, either through good grades or good behavior.

It's crazy that at 7 years old he remembers already having a couple of the same Jordan's before. I took a few of his baby/toddler kicks out of the closet, peep it.
These were my two of my favorite dunks...
FIYAH
When I speak on things I didn't get as a kid, right next to my Batman big wheel comes the Michael Jordan jersey that I didn't get until I bought it with my own money at 16 years old.

So when my lil man asked me for his favorite players jersey I was more that happy to make that happen. Yes, that's the whole collection. Now he wants a Kobe jersey with the number 8 on it.

Older

Newer

After he met Kevin Durant at House Of Hoops in Harlem last year it was a wrap. KD is Jolo' s 2nd favorite player in the NBA. Watching the "Dallas Mavericks" beat both of his teams (The Lake Show & OKC) was too real. Needless to say he strongly dislikes Dirk & company now.
Summer is flying by so fast he hasn't even got to wear his "Penny" jersey. I was trying to find him a pair of "Penny's" in his size (2Y) but I had no luck.
It ain't over I'm still looking for the right pair of kicks for him to bang with his jersey!.
WALE posted this pic of what kicks he wore with is Penny jersey. If your familiar w KG then you probably remember me asking for these to drop in kids sizes..http://kickgamedvd.blogspot.com/2011/01/nike-total-lunar-foamposite-teaser.html

This is how the man himself did it, with the "Air Ups"..

When I find the kicks I'll post them!...

The Progression Of Manhood- "Young Jolo"

My lil man turned 7 years old yesterday!. It's a crazy feeling watching him grow up right before my eyes. In another 6 years he will be "13 years old", I'll have a teenager.

The thing that has really impressed me about Jolo is how well he takes care of his little brother (Madden) . He genuinely Loves being a big brother & that makes me happy to know that he already understands his responsibility as a brother/role model. As do I as a father/role model .

KickGame x GoodWood NYC Collection + Young Jolo's Chain!

Above is a picture of all the pieces & the bracelet that the folks @ GOODWOODNYC.COM has done for the KickGame family.

Below are pics of the newest piece that they made. This chain was made for "Mini Me" aka "Young Jolo".
They made it extra special by inscribing his name on the back..
Needless to say he was super happy, Swagg on a hundred thousand trillion!....
"Young!!"
" No BS, Medallion the size of a Nintendo DS!"
First off I wanna thank "Kerri" & everybody at GoodWood NYC for coming through for me in a short period of time to ensure Jolo would indeed have a "Happy Birthday". When I turned "7 years old" I wanted some WWF wrestlers & a ring. Like we all know times have changed. Jolo still likes toys but at the top of his "B-Day Wish List" was "#1. A GoodWood NYC Chain".

When I asked him if he likes it he looked at me & replied, "Dad , I Feel Like BIG MEECH!!!"..The he yells out "ROZAY!"..LOL

Happy Fathers Day! (Meet The KickGame Clan)

(Above) My Dad aka "Big Poppa KickGame"...Without him NON OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE!(Obviously). Thanks Dad for teaching me how to be a man.

These two right here are "What I've been up to!". Young "Mello" The 2nd (Jolo) & Young "Mello" the 3rd (Madden).
Jolo will be "7 Years Old" on July 4th!...
Madden will be "5 Months Old" at the end of June!..
There is no feeling like having a little you!. Having someone who wants to walk, talk, eat, dress, & act like you is a huge responsibility. Father's play a significant role in a child's life. Today I salute all the Father's around the world who "man up" to their responsibilities & are in their children's lives.

"If your Dad wasn't a part of your life, you should want to be a part of your child's life."
"If your Dad was a part of your life, you should want to be a part of your child's life." -Mello

"Three Da Hard Way..."

I visioned this picture while I was at the register purchasing these. My baby boys & myself just chillin rockin the sickest kicks on the planet (doin what we do!). Funny thing is Jolo's (my big son) first pair of J's were the "2004 Barcelona" 7's. Now my lil man has started the game with "Bordeaux" 7's. -KickGame Mello

YOUNG!...

If I can get my hands on this little number below..."You Already Know!"

Young Jolo broke out his "Freshwater Griffey II's" with the matching jersey this past weekend.

P.S. You heard it here first.."Jerseys are back!".

Retro Super Future! + (Send Us Your Pics)

The funny thing is at 6 years old he totally understands who he is & what he's a part of. I know GROWN MEN who don't have that knowledge of self..
Too cool to smile..LOL

There is nothing like coming home & seeing something like this.."He's so proud of his DAD!"..
Seriously how many of us can say that in 1st Grade we were rocking Air Jordan's a week early?. It's a NEW ERA like the fitted.

P.S. Send in pics of you with your "Bordeaux 7's" & I'll be posting the freshest joints.

Sneaker Con - (Saturday March 19,2011) + KickGame "Stars" !

Where's KickGame in this pic?
"Can you take a guess who that's supposed to be?..."
Look at the sneakers!..lol , That's a FUSION of Young Jolo & Ya boi!
KickGame....Recognize it!
This Saturday Sneaker Con is going down , above is one of the advertisements for the event. Notice the kid with the Purple polo with different size stars on it?. I feel honored that KickGame we were a visual inspiration for one of the characters. However next time just put the "KICKMAN" logo on the character.

A Message From: KG Mello - " Me & my Little Lakers! "

What's up "KG" family, I use the word family because that's exactly what YOU the readers are to me!. You might have noticed that I haven't posted any Freshness in that past few days that's because I (wifey) just had another child. Last week Monday a star was born! lol 4real though. His name is "MADDEN" he was 8 pounds 10 ounces & 19 inches long. Yeah, he's very a Healthy boy.

Over the past couple days I've just been soaking up the fact that I now have two kids. It is truly a beautiful thing. Those of you who are familiar with KickGameDVD.com know that me & my youngin "Young Jolo" burn the city down on the regular. You know whats been really buggin me out? Over the past week when I'm talking about Jolo, I now refer to him as my "Oldest Son"...wow. Jolo is ecstatic about having his new little brother (extremely helpful) & I know he will guide Madden down the right path.

As for ya boi I know that I'm ready to embark on this god given mission. Like I told you in the past I'm inspired by the people who are great at what they do!. Which is why everyday seek more knowledge so I can continue to grow mentally & spiritually.

I wanna say THANK YOU to everyone of you who have been continuing to check in daily. I promise you I got some fly shhh for you in a minute. I also wanna thank everybody who has been sending me emails of your freshness! (I also will be getting to that in a minute).

P.S. Now that the "SupperBowl" is over, "Who's ready for the 2011 NBA All Star Game?"..

"Jay-Z"-VS-"Young Jolo"..(Air Jordan Winterized Spiz'ike Boot)

Hailing out of "Bed-Stuy" Brooklyn.."Jay-ZZZZZ!!!!!!" Air Jordan Winterized Spiz'ike Boots- Blk/Red ($190)

Hailing from "Crown Heights" Brooklyn..."Young Joloooo!!!!!"

" The Blk/Red Air Jordan Winterized Spiz'ikes were Jolo's 'Sneaker Con' selection! "

Nike ACG Boots are a East Coast staple! (we have to endure cold long winters son!). Air Jordan Spiz'ikes are soooo Brooklyn! We got a pair of Jordan's that actually say "BROOKLYN" on them. Nike & Brand Jordan combined forces & dropped the "Winterized Spiz'ike Boots" available now $190 at select Brand Jordan retailers.

Jay-Z was spotted with his wife (who needs no intro) courtside at the New Jersey Nets game wearing a pair of Air Jordan Winterized Spiz'ike boots in the "Black/Red" colorway. The same boots that "Young Jolo" rocked to 'Sneaker Con' a few weeks ago. You know what they say.."Great minds are born in Brooklyn!!".

" New York-New York!!!!"

It's September 3,2010 it's Labor Day weekend & school starts next week!. After 36 90 degree days & 6 heat waves, Summers officially over. Life has been good to me & I truly count my blessings every day!. Being able to spend extra time with my son over this summer has been wonderful. The crazy thing about it is I feel like we've gotten even closer. He teaches me things about life without even knowing that he's droppin knowledge. We've been all over the city, I've had to take him with me to several meetings & everyone always tells me how well behaved he is. Which usually leads to some type of treat for him. I do believe good behavior should be rewarded!!.

He Loves watching Kobe highlights/ Lil Dez commercials on YouTube. We literally were watching that Kobe jumps over Aston Martin video right before we went to "Rucker Park". He was asking me who the other dude in the video was & I told him "Ronnie Turiaf". A hour & a half later were sitting inside the "Press Box" at Rucker Park & who comes & sits right next to us?...yep "Ronnie Turiaf" who was mega cool!!. I'll say that this summer was definitely one of the best & spending priceless moments with him made it even better..
